Do I have to explain this again? There was NEVER any domestic oil drill in the US, regardless of who was in power. In recent history there was NEVER a year when US used more domestic oil than imported oil, regardless of who was in power.

If the government wants to nationalize large companies they could have just bought common shares instead of prefered shares, and refuse to let the company buy back their shares.
