It is not where you start but how you finish your earthly journey that counts. Evangelist Sonny Okosun ran his race victoriously to the end and has entered into his eternal rest.
My prayer for the family is that the Lord strengthens them daily in this loss and that the grace bestowed on them by the Lord will not be in vain. Amen.

I was a journalist and covered the Music beat for the Daily Times. Interview Sonny Okosuns was a delight that I can’t readily say. News of his death was personally. A great man to study. Understood communication, market sensitisation, audience behaviour. And a good man. I miss him already, especially in a society that doesn’t study its icons. Everytime I hear …
Everytime I hear this song, I remember as a 7yr old in army children school ikeja, the song was played on the radio and i can remember that era like yesterday. Snny Okosun found christ and I am very sure he made heaven, Its left to us who are here to make it. I am very happy for him. In a way I feel I lost my own father. RIP

Human existance is nothing without JESUS, his only gain is that he will have the hope to rise with the saints on the last day, by this time last year, we had him in our church in Belgium, and now he is dead, This is also an opportunity to us that is living to accept Christ as our lord and saviour, because death is a price we all must pay , but what we dont know is when we are paying it, don’t wait for tomorrow, that may never come act today, may his soul rest in perfect peace

Sonny Okosun …
Sonny Okosun remains a great icon in Nigeria. I will always appreciate his music forever. He is and remains my best musician. Rest in peace brother Sonny.
