I bought used tires from a local tire shop about 3 months ago. Last night one of the tires had a blow out that caused significant damage to my car. Is there anything I can do? And if there is, then will I need a lawyer?

What caused the tire to blow out? Road hazard? If so, tough. Tire shop isn’t responsible for that.

You have no recourse on the tire shop. You bought used tires. There is no warranty on used tires. They person who took them off of their car did it for a reason, they were bad. I would recommend buying NEW tires in the future. They have a warranty, somewhat, but even with new ones there would not be any liability on the tire store. Tires do not come apart unless they have been damaged, usually by being driven on when low on air or damaged from impact. Tires do not just blow out for no reason.

You bought used tires. 99.9999999999% of the time you sign a no warranty agreement. Good luck proving that in some way the tire shop had anything to do with the tire failure. Can you prove that the tire was at the proper pressure, was your alignment good, are your shocks good, brakes, did you hit a road hazard? You would more likely be able to prove liability of the tire manufacturer. (still not going to happen with 7 lawyers)
