This is in-car footage taken from the #211 1963 Ford Falcon, from the group 5B 1963-1967 over 2.5 Liter Production GT race. This car normally competes as the #5 Historic Trans Am Falcon, but for this event, it was configured as run in the 1966 24 Hour FIA Mexican Road Rally. YEHAAAAA!!!!!! …
YEHAAAAA!!!!!! Great video! Thanks for posting. I was there and watched this race from the corkscrew but this was much better. I loved watching you shift gears and was yelling at the computer when you made it past the Tiger! Former Shelby GT350 racer.

I already emailed …
I already emailed SCRAMP and they forwarded it thru. I can believe even one person out there enjoyed seeing the extra porsches over the TA cars. TA Class is probably one of the best and most exciting by far, not to mention very competent on the actual racing side. I just got angry that there was 80-91 fia?? and no TA.

No T/A this year because of Porsche. There were so many of them there was no room for us. Hopefully, we will be there next year.

I go to the …
I go to the Motorcycle Races every year at Laguna Seca. they pale in comparison to the Historic Races. My father has followed Sports Car racing since the late 50s. It was only his second event live, He saw a Can Am Race in ‘68. Here he got to see the Can ams plus 15 other races. Combine that with the pit access and it was just overwhelming.
But the highlight was definitely sharing our blanket with jim and his son as you moved your way through the pack.

What a great comment! Seriously, having Jim at the event and seeing his car after all these years was one of my special highlights. I can’t imagine topping that weekend.

I got to sit next to Jim Taylor, the original builder/driver. He loved seeing the car out there again. And your performance made him proud. Great job out there and great footage.
