This is also from March 7, I drove the car on 120 volts, but I don’t think the controller is big enough (the car now goes about 45mph, 75kmh). I’ll probably be updating to a Kelly KDH12600B or KDH12800B High Power Controller.

Solar energy can power vehicles. Anyone can build their own model solar powered car with an inexpensive PV panel and a small electric motor. Larger versions that carry an adult as seen in the “Solar Challenge” and “Race the Sun” contests.
Building model solar cars can be done by children students from ages 10 to adult. Subjects can be global warming, climate change, peak oil, energy supply, photovoltaics, and the future.
