This is in-car footage taken from the #211 1963 Ford Falcon, from the group 5B 1963-1967 over 2.5 Liter Production GT race. This car normally competes as the #5 Historic Trans Am Falcon, but for this event, it was configured as run in the 1966 24 Hour FIA Mexican Road Rally. This Falcon was awarded the Ford Motor Company Thomas W. Senter Memorial Award for representing the most significant Ford at this event.

This is also from March 7, I drove the car on 120 volts, but I don’t think the controller is big enough (the car now goes about 45mph, 75kmh). I’ll probably be updating to a Kelly KDH12600B or KDH12800B High Power Controller.

Gas prices are hitting all-time highs. Our country is in the midst of a recession thanks in part to our crippling dependence on oil, so what’s John McCain’s plan? Will he hold the corporate leaders of the energy industry accountable when he addresses them today in Houston? Probably not, considering they are some of his biggest fund-raisers.
The Center for Responsive Politics finds that McCain has accepted over $1 million from the oil and gas industry. Many of McCain’s top advisers have lobbied for big oil, which is why he now acts in their best interests, opposing environmental legislation and alternative energy plans. And that’s exactly why we want everyone to know The REAL McCain.
McCain is desperate to distance himself from President Bush. But according to the Center for American Progress Action Fund, McCain has received millions in donations from the same oil, coal, nuclear, chemical, utility, and auto companies that helped the Bush administration create its energy plan—a plan that has raised gasoline to $4 a gallon.
Here’s what you can do: Send this e-mail to ten of your friends, family members, and colleagues. Tell them to send it on to ten people they know. And don’t forget to Digg it! Spread the word that McCain is taking major contributions from wealthy oil executives like Bob Mosbacher, just one of the special interest leaders he’ll be addressing in Houston.

Next week Royal Dutch Shell will finally appear in court to answer charges that it was complicit in the death of Ken Saro-Wiwa, the author and oil company critic executed by Nigeria’s former military regime in 1995.
Saro-Wiwa’s family accuses the oil company of “a systemic campaign of human rights violations” to silence opposition to its operations, and alleges that Shell bribed witnesses at Saro-Wiwa’s show trial.
The case, in an American court, could have major repercussions for the oil industry, reports the New York Times .

$4 Gas for
4 More Years?
As long as Big Oil’s friends are in the White House, nothing will change.
We’re paying $4 a gallon for gas, while big oil companies are making billions in profit. AND nothing much is being done about oil independence or global warming.
Why?
Because oil companies and their friends write our national energy policy. If we want change, we need a President who will stand up for us rather than give in to Big Oil. That is NOT John McCain.
John McCain
received over $1 million in campaign contributions from »»oil & gas industry companies
1 has over 20 oil company lobbyists running his »»campaign
2 would give big oil companies $3.8 billion in tax breaks »»
3 supports gimmicks (like a Gas Tax Holiday and offshore »»drilling), over real solutions
