Distance/revolution = Circumference of tire = 2πR = 6.28(0.220) = 1.38 m
Total Distance = 11,000 miles = 1609 m/mile x 11,000 = 17,699,000 m

Total Distance/Distance per revolution = 17,699,000/1.38 = 1.28e7 revolutions ANS
References :
comment: a good follow-up question might be this. If a typical car weighs 1.5 tons and the coefficient of tire friciton against the road is 0.7 and a typical set of tires last 45,000 mi, how much work does friction do against a tire before it wears out (answer in Joules).

Yes, Automobile Engineer can become a successful S/W Developer. But see that you Study your Basics well[Languages Like C, C++, Core Java]. It is also important for you to update yourself at regular intervals. There are many websites which conduct free online exams in all the languages, attend those to See how far you are ready to work in S/W industry. If required do Certifications in the language that you are familiar with.
References :
If cattle are unused to being handled then initially the animal will have to be chased own a race to a smaller area, a chute as you called it. Restraining the animal by putting your fingers into it's nose and bringing the head back around, as though it is looking over it's shoulder can be used but strength is needed to do this. A rope halter can be put on at this stage but again, due to the strength of these animals, holding onto it may well be problematic! Most farmers use a cattle crush in order to hold an animal, for safety to both the farmer and the animal. Bulls often have a nose ring and farmers then use a leading pole. It works in a similar way to the fingers in the nose, this area is very sensitive and an animal will struggle less to avoid pain and discomfort if it knows it can't get away.
References :
There is the electric cattle prod. Makes them jump a bit, but effective. To hold them in a certain area there is the electric fence which is powered by a car battery and the equipment is quite portable.
References :
My sister's farm has 80 dairy cattle. They use the dog to bring them in from the fields and the cows go into the stalls on their own. Once they're done being milked, they open the stantions all at once (it's electronic) and the cows back out and leave the barn calmly.

If you need to get one in, you go out to the cow at a walk, open your arms and herd the cow calmly into the barn. The farm dog helps keep the cow from dodging around to try to get back to the herd. Once the cow is inside, you just approach it and push the head and neck to get them to where you want them to go. They're used to the owners and will take vocal cues. Nothing in your hand is needed, unless you want to put your hat in your hand and wave it at them.
