Determine the number of revolutions through which a typical automobile tire turns in 1 yr. Suppose the automobile travels 11000 miles each year on tires with radius 0.220 m.

Distance/revolution = Circumference of tire = 2πR = 6.28(0.220) = 1.38 m
Total Distance = 11,000 miles = 1609 m/mile x 11,000 = 17,699,000 m

Total Distance/Distance per revolution = 17,699,000/1.38 = 1.28e7 revolutions ANS

Hi, I hv done Automobile Engineering but got employed in a good software company as a trainee. But as its( Computer Programming) not my background, I am worried that because of this i am going to get some trouble in future. Can i expect a good scope in software programing ?I am very much sure that i can handle this programming thing very well. But still i would like to know your view regarding this.
